Often celebrated as one of the most daring and successful sabotage missions of World War 2, Operation Gunnerside was months in the making and it began with careful planning throughout July and August, intelligence gathering intensified. Routes were studied, reconnaissance coordinated, and tactics refined. The result would eventually be a stealth operation carried out across the harsh Hardangervidda plateau.
