The assassination of SS-Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich, one of the most powerful figures in the Nazi regime, in Prague in 1942 sent shockwaves through occupied Europe.
Codenamed Operation Anthropoid, this daring SOE mission was carried out by Czechoslovak operatives Jan Kubiš and Josef Gabčík true to Winston Churchill’s wish for SOE to “set Europe ablaze.”
On this experiene, you’ll follow in Heydrich’s footsteps, tracing his daily journey through Prague and visiting the very locations where he worked and wielded his power. Stand where the agents waited for their moment and relive the tension of that fateful day. You’ll also learn about the dramatic aftermath and the ultimate sacrifice of the SOE Operatives, visiting the church crypt where they made their last stand.
To take your experience even further, you’ll have the opportunity to get hands-on with history. Our WW2 weapons package lets you safely handle and fire legendary firearms of the era, including the German MP40 submachine gun and the infamous MG42 machine gun. Feel the adrenaline and get a taste of what SOE operatives and soldiers would have handled.
